desk rename

Give a workspace a useful name once you know what it's for.

desk rename [NAME] NEW_NAME

With one name, rename the current workspace. With two, NAME identifies an existing workspace by name or unique prefix, and NEW_NAME is its new name.

With shell integration, renaming the workspace you're in preserves your current subdirectory under its new name. Renaming another workspace leaves you where you are; it doesn't switch into it.

You never need to choose a task name at creation: desk new starts with a generated name. Rename only when a useful name emerges. Run desk list to see the result; use the new name when switching back later.
