desk finish

Usage#

desk finish [NAME]

NAME is a workspace name or unique prefix. Leave it out for the current workspace, even from a subdirectory.

Behavior#

Marks the workspace finished/disposable in desk's state outside project files. It does not remove files immediately.

Scratch workspaces without a remote need this explicit signal before desk cleanup can consider them. Finishing overrides only that exclusion, not the 72-hour inactivity requirement, running-process checks, or any Git safety checks—even ignored files remain protected. For an existing directory without state, it also starts managed state.
